OUR SERVICES

Electrical and mechanical work

We provide complete electrical, mechanical and hydraulic services for Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki and Honda outboard motors. From electrical connectors to hydraulic fittings, we ensure your outboard motor is in tip-top shape and will last for a long time.

Oil changes and tune-ups

Whether your boat has 200 or 1,000 hours on it, an oil change is an essential part of a regular tune-up to keep the motor running smooth, but also saves on gas and expands the life of the motor.

Hydraulic and mechanical steering systems

Maintenance of your steering system should be completed at least twice per year to keep it in working order and ensure smooth, safe operation. Corrosion of the steering cable can cause stiff movements, seizure, and even total loss of steering control.

Grease and lubrication services

Protection against rust and corrosion along with fuel dilution is a number one priority for maintaining a healthy motor. Marine motors are constantly under load so keeping your motor lubricated and greased correctly will prevent catastrophic failures and should be added to your regularly engine check-up.

Spark plug changes

Spark plugs play a major role in starting your motor. Checking/testing your spark plugs every 100 hours is necessary to ensure your motor starts, as well as, replacing them every 300 hours.

Impeller maintenance

Abrasive sandlike material can cause the impeller to wear out faster. Impellers can also wear out by becoming stiff and brittle due to the motor sitting unused for several seasons or being exposed to heat. Regular maintenance can prevent permanent damage and avoid expensive costs of replacement.

Fuel filter replacements

Changing the fuel filter in your regularly scheduled maintenance can help eliminate performance issues and prevent major problems down the road. Regularly scheduled maintenance calls for changing the fuel filter every 100 hours. Top End Performance also recommends you change the filter before storing your boat long-term.

Customer Reviews

Our boat was stored for the past couple years and wouldn’t start, and a friend told us to contact Rich at Top End Performance. He started working on the motor and in a few hours the motor was running again. I totally recommend his services to anyone. Thanks again.
